If you are facing new regulations and or concerns about the security
of your data, we can help you by offering assessments of your existing
security and/or help you develop plans to secure your operation.
Most
organizations feel more comfortable having an objective third party evaluate
their security infrastructure to make sure that all reasonable precautions
have been taken to secure the data that is stored or transmitted across your
network.
Securing your information comes in many different forms.
Obviously you need to physically secure access to your computers and networks.
But there's much more to it than that. We are working to put some
information together to help guide you on the services we offer and some
security related topics in general, but until we get it completed, please call
or email us if you have questions.
Perimeter Security Assessments are assessments that help identify where your
network and data is vulnerable.
Ethical Hacking is a practice of being hired by a company to try to break
into their network in order to identify vulnerabilities in those networks and
take corrective action.
Intrusion Detection is setting up systems at appropriate points in the
network to identify if someone has successfully gained unauthorized access to
your network.
Wireless Security is the practice of implementing wireless networks in a
secure fashion. Most users purchase wireless network devices and plug them
in and they work. Unfortunately, if they are not set up properly, those
devices can then broadcast information on how to access the network. What
makes it worse is that most users don't change the default login and password so
anyone can access the information with very little effort. However,
although it is a much debated topic, wireless can be made secure enough to use
without extreme risk.
Biggest Security Risk in every organization is the people. Employees
often do not realize that they are sending out sensitive information. Some
employees take valuable company information such as customer lists and feel they
are entitled to do so. We suggest you put together an on-going plan
to educate your users about security risks, vulnerabilities and the role they
play in keeping the data safe.
